SBDC Business Planning Seminar Series The North Central Indiana SBDC is offering a two-part Business Planning seminar. The first seminar, entitled "A Guide for Business Planning: A Step-By-Step Process" will be offered Thursday, June 19th from 11 am to 1 pm. Business plans are important for all types of businesses, start-up and existing, to plan growth and acquire financing. Developing a business plan can be a challenging task, but this seminar is designed to walk you through the process of developing a business plan, and will assist you in avoiding common mistakes and create a document that is truly useful to you and your business. The second seminar, entitled "A Guide to Profit (or Loss): A Step-By-Step Process" will be offered on Thursday, June 26th from 11 am to 1 pm. This seminar focuses on the financial analysis section of a business plan, often the most difficult section to develop and is the most important criteria when working with Bankers/Investors to obtain funding for your new or existing business. It is used to determine the viability of a business and to manage it. Participants review the contents of the financial plan along with a process for developing the plan. Examples of startup costs, capital equipment lists, breakeven analyses, and profit/loss statements will be reviewed. Both seminars will be held at Inventrek Technology Park, 700 E. Firmin Street, Kokomo. The fee is $35 per person for each seminar, or $60 per person to attend both seminars. To register for any of these classes, please go online to www.conf.purdue.edu/sbdc or call 1-800-359-2968. All registrations need to be made at least 24 hours prior to the event.
