June 2nd – The 12th Annual Circus City Metric Century Bicycle Ride at the Peru National Guard Armory, 77 Germann Street in Peru. Check in begins at 7:30 am and riders cat start any time between 8 am and 9 am. Ride Distances are 17, 32, 50 and 65 miles. The routes all include the paved section of the Nickel Plate trail from Peru to Cassville. The longer routes will pass by Mississinewa Reservoir and Seven Pillars. There will be SAG stops with food and drink provided. Photos will be taking along the trail that can be purchased as a keepsake. September 8th – St. Charles Parish 33rd Annual Bazaar, 80 West Fifth Street 8 am to 8 pm. Huge garage sale in the school gym starting at 8 am to 12 noon. There will be hourly drawings and a grand prize. The Grill will open at 10 am until 3:30 pm serving hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and nachos. The Tenderloin dinner will start 3:30 pm until 7:30 pm (eat in or carry out). There are crafts, food, and fun for all ages. Starting at 12 noon there will be music.

November 14th – Downtown Christmas Open House in downtown Peru. Prizes given to winners. There will be music up and down the streets with specials in the stores and refreshments! Music, fun food and prizes. Event starts off with the parade at the Depot starting at 6pm with Santa on his sleigh. Santa House opens by 6:30 pm for picture taking. Pictures are $3. Shops will be open for “stamping” and shopping at 6:30 pm.

December 1st – “Another Holiday Spectacular” presented by Ballet Arts of Peru will be held Saturday December 3rd at 2 pm in the Peru High School Auditorium. This year’s annual show features students in ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe performing many holiday favorites. Tickets are $5.00 and Victoria’s Flowers & Gifts will have bouquets and special items available to purchase for your special dancer!
